Belinda Nel

My name is Belinda Nel, and I was born and raised in South Africa. I lived most of my life with my family in a small town called Mossel Bay, where I am the youngest of two children.

After I have worked in the community with social workers for a few years, I have learned to appreciate things more in life and wanted to give back to the community and make a difference in a child’s life. I then decided to complete my postgraduate studies in education after earning my management diploma in 2016. In 2021, I decided to study further in education and graduated with my B.Ed. Honours degree in Educational Support at the end of 2022.

I have been teaching for almost 5 years now and enjoy teaching science as well as social sciences.

My hobbies and interests include hiking, jogging, playing and watching tennis, and other sports. I also love to travel and explore new adventures with my friends and partner, go swimming, or do any other fun activities.

I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe I owe it to my students and the community to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hopes that I can eventually inspire and encourage such traits in the students, making it a safe place for them to learn.

I am looking forward to starting my new journey at Papatoetoe Intermediate School, where I can learn and grow as a teacher.
