Specialist Soft Materials and Technology Teacher, who loves the opportunity to be creative.
A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I have been teaching all my life. I am from the south Waikato, daughter of a large immigrant family, I have worked in early childhood, primary, intermediate and high school from Otahuhu to Dublin! I have been part of the Otahuhu and Papatoetoe community for nearly over twenty years.
My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
This is my eigth year teaching at Papatoetoe, but our family has been connected with the school since my own children have attended here. We want all of our students to take and make opportunities here whether that is through activities such as the Tironui music programme, leadership roles to sports representatives, as well as enjoying camps and trips, and of course making cool stuff at Technology and Art classes! We really want to help nurture citizens who are ready to be capable and contributing members of our community who are appreciative and enjoy good times too.
A bit more about me:
Even though I enjoy my indoor crafty pursuits, I love to get outdoors bush walking, swimming, cycling, kayaking, skiing, in ‘spare’ time between family, work and volunteering, teaching at church and working on a farm. I want to be healthy enough to make the most of every day and always look forward to future adventures!!
