Tukua kia tū takitahi ngā whetū o te rangi
Let each star in the sky shine it’s own light
Tena koutou katoa
Ko Ngongotaha te maunga,
Ko Rotorua-nui-a-Kahu te moana,
Ko Te Arawa te waka,
Ko Ngati Whakaue te iwi,
Ko Paulette Corbett ahau.
Ko Whaea Paulette toku ingoa.
I am Paulette Corbett. I come from Rotorua. I have been living and teaching in Auckland since 2006. I am interested in how technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning. I believe it is important to focus on future focused skills that will prepare students for a rapidly changing world.
I have been teaching for 17 years and I have just recently joined Papatoetoe Intermediate School.
Being in the classroom, playing Call of Duty, soaking in a hot pool and going out for dinner bring me joy.
Riding my bike in the forest, swimming at Muriwai Beach, kayaking at Mahurangi and snowboarding on the mountain feeds my soul.
Coffee with friends, spending time with family and date night fills my heart.
Reading, watching YouTube channels, Twitter (now known as X) and formal study grows my mind.
I am looking forward to continuing my Te Reo journey and building my Kapa Haka confidence and skills and contributing to the community however I can.
No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou katoa.
