Hello, I’m Aastha and I am thrilled to be a part of Papatoetoe Intermediate School as Room 33 Classroom Teacher. With around 6 years of overseas teaching experience, I moved to New Zealand in 2023. I have dedicated myself to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
I have done Masters in Science and Bachelor of Education from India. Throughout my career, I have been committed to integrating innovative teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring every student has the opportunity to excel.
My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
At Papatoetoe Intermediate, my vision and hope for the students is that, I hope every child would know their value, their worth and that no matter their circumstances are, they have the ability to work hard and guide what their future will look like.
Family Background: My roots are in an Indian family that holds education and community service in high regard. This upbringing has significantly shaped both my professional journey and my outlook on life, embedding a deep respect for learning and civic engagement.
Cultural Heritage: Proud of my Indian roots, I draw inspiration from the principle of “Satyameva Jayate” (Truth Alone Triumphs), embodying the vibrant traditions and deep values of my culture. This emphasis on truth, education, and community spirit is integral to both my teaching philosophy and personal ethos, guiding us towards a journey of integrity and knowledge.
