School  Receptionist

A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
My journey at Papatoetoe Intermediate started in 2000 – 2001 when I was a student, and I still hold great memories of my time here.  When the opportunity to return as a member of staff came up I didn’t hesitate to apply and thankfully was able to return in 2018 as the office Administrator.  In the time I have been here so far I have met so many wonderful people and have been able to advance my knowledge and skills.  My role allows me to be able to meet a majority of the families who became a part of our school community.

My vision and hopes for our school:
I believe that this is a very important time in a child’s life; this is the time that they go from being a child to a teenager and what they do in these 2 years with us sets them up to become independent, reliable and confident adults in the future.  My hope is that when students leave us they can look back and see all the achievements they have accomplished and are confident that they have all the tools they need to move forward and succeed.  I enjoy meeting and getting to know members of our community.  I am very privileged to be able to learn so much from those around me.  We don’t just teach the students, they also teach us so much every day.

A bit more about me:
I was born and raised in Papatoetoe and love being a part of this community.  I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for over 10 years, we have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl and I enjoy spending my time with them when I am not at work.  In my spare time I love travelling and have had the privilege to see a large amount of our world and learn about so many different cultures.  I like to do cross-stitch as it relaxes my mind as well as being outdoors in nature and connecting with papatuanuku.
