SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator)
Samoan Group Leader
I thoroughly enjoy teaching the curriculum with a specific focus on science and literacy. I also enjoy coaching sports, especially basketball and volleyball.
A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I am an experienced teacher with 15 years of classroom teaching at a number of schools in Mangere and Papatoetoe. Living in Papatoetoe has enabled me to grow relationships with our families, value the diversity of our students and to be a part of a multicultural community.
My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
My hope is that our community will see our school as a place of learning for their students. A place where their learning abilities will be seen, known, valued and met.
A bit more about me:
I am New Zealand born with Samoan heritage. The majority of my family live overseas. My children and grandchildren love music. Travel, sport, the ocean and lots of family time. Our family motto is é faávavau aiga’.
