Kia Ora koutou,
A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
My name is Chrystal Takiaho, I am of Maori descent.  I grew up in small rural towns called Tuakau/Pukekohe but, for the past 6 years Papatoetoe has been my home.

I have been a Teacher Aide here at Papatoetoe Intermediate School for 3 awesome years and appreciate this opportunity.  The students here at school know me as Whaea Chrystal.

My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
What I find the most joy in as a Teacher Aide is seeing the students’ eyes light up when they know they have succeeded.  I love seeing the progression of students’ hard work knowing I played a part in their learning.  I feel so proud and sad seeing our students of two years leave and transition to High School.  Hoping they have left us with confidence and a positive attitude towards their learning.

A bit more about me:
I started working here in 2018 the same year my daughter Te Piki started as a Year 7 student who came from Papatoetoe South Primary School.

Nga mihi
Whaea Chrystal
