A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I am an experienced teacher with 40 years of classroom teaching at a range of schools in Cape Town, South Africa and in New Zealand.  I’ve been a teacher in Cape Town, South Africa for nearly 20 years.  I have been at Papatoetoe Intermediate School for 21 years and love working in this community.

My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
I see my role as a facilitator, and I’m delighted to support my students in their learning.  I aim to create a positive bond in helping the children realise their dreams, goals and aspirations.
I firmly believe in the Learning Triangle consisting of the teacher, the adult/caregiver, and the student.  Together we will achieve many celebratory moments through the teaching and learning journey.

A bit more about me:
My family have been in New Zealand for nearly 22 years.  I have a wife, 2 children (son and daughter) and 3 grandchildren (2 boys and 1 girl).  I have a passion for soccer and have been coaching soccer at school for nearly 40 years.  I put a lot of emphasis on fitness and have completed the Auckland Round the Bays’17 years in a row.  My other interests are gardening and reading for enjoyment.
