Talofa Lava,

A little bit about me:
I am a Qualified and Registered Social Worker for the past 3 years and have a background in Youth Work in Secondary Schools. I now have the privilege of being the Social Worker in Schools for Papatoetoe Intermediate since June 2022, and I enjoy building meaningful relationships with students, their whanau and the staff here. I am very passionate about youth development and empowering them to be the best they can be, by building on their strengths and helping them find solutions to their problems.

My Purpose
My role as a Social Worker is to advocate and support young people and their whanau, by improving their social and interpersonal difficulties they are challenged with. Which in turn, can lead to positive outcomes for them. My hope is to create positive changes for our community so that our young people can thrive, and whanau feel empowered. I also work with many organisations in the community to enhance their overall wellbeing and support them to get their needs met.

A little bit more about me:
I am half Samoan and half Vietnamese and was born and raised in Manurewa. I recently got married to my best friend and am a parent to two beautiful children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball, skateboarding, working out, listening to music, eating and spending time with my family.

My Quote:
We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future!
