As a teacher leading the Indo-Fijian Cultural Group, I am passionate about helping students explore the rich history of Indians in Fiji and their journey across generations. Students will learn about the arrival of the Girmitiyas and how their resilience and strength shaped Fiji’s multicultural identity. Through engaging activities, we will explore language, including Fiji Hindi and traditional Indian languages, to understand how culture is preserved and shared. Together, we will build pride, respect, and a deeper appreciation for the unique Indo-Fijian identity within our diverse community. Join the group if you have something to share or you want to learn about the lives of Indians in Fiji.
