COVID communication with community : 17th February 2022

The health and wellbeing of our children, staff and community is a top priority.  You may have heard there’s another confirmed COVID-19 case in our community.

We are sending this update as we have been notified of a confirmed case of COVID-19  in our community.  The student last attended Papatoetoe Intermediate on Wednesday 9th February 2022.

If you have not been contacted by the school or the Ministry of Health, your child can still come to school.

What you need to do:

  • You and your whānau should watch for symptoms

  • If any develop, get tested immediately

  • Then, stay at home until you receive the result

  • If your whānau hasn’t been vaccinated, please do so as soon as possible. You can book on-line at bookmyvaccine.nz or by calling 0800 28 29 26. It’s free.

What we are doing:

  • Papatoetoe Intermediate School will stay open

  • Close contacts had been informed

  • We have provided those students required to isolate with distance learning activities

  • We have appropriate public health measures and cleaning procedures in place
