Kia ora, I am Whaea Jane.

A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I have been a teacher for over 30 years and believe it is a privilege to be working with children.  I love gardening and believe that every student should have the opportunity to grow and eat their own kai.

My family are from Banks Peninsula (near Christchurch) but I have worked in Otara, Mangere and Papatoetoe for nearly 10 years.  I spent my early years teaching in Rotorua, Reporoa and the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
I am passionate about literacy and want to see every student reading – even if it is only the road code so they can pass their driver’s licence.

A bit more about me:
My other hobbies include reading, writing, homeopathy and spending time with family.
