Classroom teacher who especially loves teaching reading and writing.

I have been teaching for about 4 years now. This term begins my first few weeks at Papatoetoe Intermediate School. I got my teaching degree in New York State and then migrated to Australia to complete one of my student teaching placements. Following that trip, I spent about 5 days In New Zealand and ever since have wanted to come back to learn more about the culture and history of this beautiful country. I taught age 10/11/12 In Arizona for two years but it has been a dream of mine to come back to New Zealand and teach.

My vision for my students is to become confident, self-sufficient individuals that are not afraid to be themselves and attain their goals.

Growing up, I was really into dancing, taking lessons for over 10 years and then I learned to snowboard. I also love to watch NFL (American Football) as well! One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to hike and explore the beautiful world around us. I look forward to doing a lot of this in New Zealand!
