Tēnā koutou,

As you are aware Auckland moves to Alert Level 2 tonight at 11.59pm.

Further to the our news bulletins information, we have been asked about the children and young people who have siblings attending Papatoetoe High School.

Public Health have communicated the following information to the Papatoetoe High School community:

  • Students and staff who are close contacts must remain at home in self-isolation, and their household members need to get tested
  • All Papatoetoe High School staff, students and household members who are not close contacts are encouraged to stay home until Monday
  • Siblings of Papatoetoe High School students and children of staff who attend other schools, kura and ECEs should not attend until Monday

If you have any concerns regarding the return to Alert Level 2 please contact your Education Adviser.

I personally would like to thank you for the amazing mahi done by you and your teams. Auckland has again shown our versatility and resilience with our response and care for our communities. We have heard so many stories over the last few days of the incredible efforts schools have gone to, to support their whānau and communities. Just brilliant!

Vaughan, you and your team have done an outstanding job in extremely difficult circumstances. Nearly the weekend…

I hope tomorrow goes well for you all,

Ngā mihi
