Myra Luatua

Talofa lava, My name is Myra Luatua, and I am the homeroom teacher for Room 15. I am a beginning teacher and will be graduating from the University of Auckland this year. I speak fluent Samoan and come from the villages of Afega and Saleimoa. I enjoy working with diverse students and helping them excel academically in literacy, social science, and Te Reo.

I look forward to tutoring our Samoan cultural group this year and learning from students as much as they learn from me.

Outside of school, I am happily married with no children just yet. I am the youngest of four and my mother’s whole heart. I am an ex-student of Papatoetoe Intermediate School and grew up in South Auckland my whole life. Now, I feel it is time to give back to my community, and there’s no greater way than to serve in the education sector.
