A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
Originally from Fiji, I moved to New Zealand in 2008. My husband and I have two boys who were born here. I have more than 23 years of teaching experience at different intermediate schools and colleges in New Zealand and Fiji, and I have been at Papatoetoe Intermediate School since 2013. I truly enjoy working with our diverse community where different perspectives and experiences come together. I believe embracing diversity enriches the learning environment and fosters a sense of belonging for all students.

My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
To create a welcoming environment where every student feels a deep sense of belonging and truly wants to be at school, while providing opportunities in and beyond the classroom  that empower them to take ownership of their learning.

A bit more about me:
Outside of school, I love spending quality time with my friends and family. I am a strong advocate for a balanced lifestyle that prioritizes both mental and physical well-being. I love doing outdoor activities with my husband and boys, like going for forest walks and hikes, which keeps us active and connected with nature or doing indoor activities like playing board games, cards, and watching movies to have a family time. I also love practicing yoga, which is a big part of how I look after my own physical and mental well-being!
