We hope you have all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas break. It has been so nice to have had no lockdowns although of course we must still remain vigilant.

Notices prior to the start of school

Hui for Maori School Members – 1.00 p.m. today
Any families wishing to be part of the Kapa Haka Group, and participate in the regional competition are welcome to attend.

Year 8 students start Wednesday 3rd February [tomorrow].
Powhiri is Thursday 4th February for Year 7 and new students. Students and families should be at school at the Great South Road entrance by 8.30 a.m. The Powhiri will finish by 9.15 a.m. Year 7 and new Year 8 students will then go to the Gym. Whanau are most welcome.

Pandemic Notification
Please do not come to school if you have any COVID 19 symptoms. If your child is sick at school we will phone you and ask you to come and pick them up. If you have any symptoms, please go and get tested.
At the Powhiri, if you are concerned please wear a mask. Please maintain distance from other people and be respectful of other people’s space.

New Enrolments
Families/students that enrol this week will not be able to start until Tuesday 9th February. [after Waitangi weekend]. This is due to the need to ensure careful placement, organising of furniture and administration organisation. A Mihi Whakatau with be held for these students on Tuesday 9th February at 9.00 a.m.
