Priya Kumar

I am proud and excited to be a part of the Papatoetoe Intermediate School family. I have 5 years of teaching experience in a High School in Fiji. I have also taught in Early Childhood Centre (aged from 3 months-5-year-olds), Primary School (aged 8- and 9-year-olds), and High school (14–18-year-olds) in New Zealand. I am also a graduate in Business Management from Kiwi Institute of Technology (KITE).

I have a passion for teaching Science and Mathematics. I came to New Zealand in 2017 and my teaching journey started as a teacher aide in 2018, later that year I was offered a position as a teacher. I taught junior level Science in James Cook High School.

Vision: I have a true passion for working with our learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor (a challenge that I am honoured to accept daily).
