A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I have been at Papatoetoe Intermediate School for 10 years and enjoy seeing the pleasure our tamariki get when they succeed. I lead and support six staff members in the syndicate. I am a lead teacher for school wide Mathematics, Cultural Electives and óther’Languages, Enrichment/Academies/Extension, Buses and Supervisory duties, Project Wy, Student Leaders Programme, mentor and Mathematics Extension teacher.
My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
I believe with positive work ethics and leadership skills, I will lead teachers and ensure they provide a range of learning opportunities to enhance student learning. As an effective leader, I focus on student achievement and the school improvement process. I actively involve myself in: collaboratively developing and enacting the school’s vision, values, goals and priorities for equity and excellence; establishing and ensuring an orderly and supportive environment conducive to student learning and well being; ensuring effective planning, coordination and evaluation of the school’s curriculum and teaching; promoting and participation in a coherent approach to professional learning and practice; building capability and collective capacity in evaluation and inquiry for sustained improvement and innovation; building relational trust and effective participation and collaboration at every level of the school community.
