Sanjini Chandra

Kia ora, Ramram, and Bula. I am very proud to be a teacher at Papatoetoe Intermediate School and part of this wonderful school whānau. I bring with me 27 years of teaching experience from the Fiji Islands, where I taught in various primary schools across the Western Division. I hold a Teacher’s Certificate, a Bachelor of Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of the South Pacific.

My teaching journey in New Zealand began at Little Feet Childcare, and after five months, I was honoured to join Papatoetoe Intermediate as a permanent teacher. I currently teach English and am grateful to work alongside a team of highly qualified and passionate educators.

My vision for our school is to engage, inspire, and empower every student to reach beyond—because, as my former principal Brother Anslem from Xavier College said, “The sky is the limit.”

Outside of school, I enjoy watching movies, travelling to new places, and spending quality time with my husband and our child.
