PAPATOETOE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CAMP
October/November 2022

Dear Parents/Caregivers

After much disruption and the cancellation of events over the past couple of years we are really excited to be able to have a school camp for all students this year. In even years, we go to Ngaruawahia Camp for 3 days of epic adventure and fun!

There will be two syndicates go together:
–   Team Rehua (Rooms 1, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22) go from Monday 31st October and return Wednesday 2nd November
–   Team Puanga (Rooms 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 23, 24 and 25) go from Wednesday 2nd and return Friday 4th November.

We have finalised our budgets and the price for this camp is set at $195 per person.

This covers, transport, accommodation, food and all activities.

Activities in 2022 include:
Air Rifles, Archery, BMX, Burma Trail, Bush Walk, Campfire, Climbing Wall, Crate Climb, Flying Fox, Hydroslide,  Kayaking, Mudslide, Outdoor Cooking, Paintball, Pool, Raft Building and Team Confidence Course.

You can start paying for camp now.

Please make payments that best suit your needs.
FULL PAYMENT of $195 is required by 30th SEPTEMBER – the last day of the Term 3/4 holidays.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Student Reception.

Permission and medical forms will be sent out early in Term 3 – these will be available digitally and hardcopy.

We are holding a Camp Information Evening for Parents/Caregivers on Tuesday 9th August at 5:45pm in the gym where there will be a presentation about the camp in more detail and we can answer questions.

If you are interested in being a Camp Helper please let your child’s teacher know during your conference or email me with your contact information. There will also be sign up sheets at the Info Evening.

Thank you to those whanau who have already indicated this using the camp survey that was sent out earlier this term – if you indicated you wanted to help on that I will be in touch soon.

We hope to see you for the Camp Information Evening 5:45pm Tuesday 9th August.
