SCHOOL UPDATE – LEVEL 4 LOCKDOWN

SCHOOL UPDATE REGARDING LEVEL 4 LOCKDOWN

As of 11.59pm tonight, 17th August 2021, New Zealand will be going into at least a 3 day LEVEL 4 lockdown.   This means that the school will be closed for at least this week – no one on the school site.

We are currently awaiting further directions from the Ministry of Education.  We will ensure that we pass on relevant information to you once received.

Unfortunately, due to the timing of the announcement we have been unable to distribute chromebooks or hard copy packs.  The Ministry of Education is aware that this is the situation for many students across New Zealand. If we get permission to hand out chromebooks and hardcopy packs, we will let you know as soon as we know we can do that.

Until then, Classroom teachers and other staff members will be in contact tomorrow, Wednesday 18th August, to check in and provide possible activities to do at home for those without access to a device.  Those with devices will be able to access their google classroom.

Until then, we hope that you all keep safe by:

• Staying local
• Staying within your bubble
• Keeping 2 metre distance from those not in your bubble
• Wearing a mask if in public
