Shelli Rooks

I’m Shelli Rooks and I am so excited to be part of Papatoetoe Intermediate School as Room 1B Classroom Teacher.  I have recently moved to New Zealand and I am ready to be part of this country’s education system.

I believe that being an educator is a unique privilege and I consider a holistic approach to education as vital. This includes equipping students with the skills to help them become individuals who will cope with an ever-changing world. Appreciating a diverse culture and the ability to empathize and respect others has always been my strength.

My vision and hopes for my class is to raise kind, caring and compassionate young people with the skills to apply their values in their lives outside of school.
