School librarian

A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I was a primary school teacher in Fiji and I taught in various schools before I migrated to NZ.
I have been at Papatoetoe Intermediate School since 2005  and have been involved with migrant and International students for most of my time.
I have also worked at Botany and Papatoetoe library and hence my love for books gave me a job as a librarian at this school.
It’s a joy to be surrounded by books and helping students enhance their love for reading .It gives me great pleasure when I see the reluctant readers discovering the enjoyment in reading.

My vision and hopes for our school:
My vision is to see that every child in the school reads books for enjoyment and that books can be easily made available to them.

A bit more about me:
In my family there’s my husband, my two girls and I. I have a big extended family all around the globe.  I am fanatic about books and I still buy books which I read from my childhood.I always say for me ,books are the greatest invention of all time.
