Associate Principal and Whanau Leader for Tupu-a-Rangi
A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I have worked at Papatoetoe Intermediate for the past 7 years and in this time I have worn many different hats. I have a strength in Digital Technologies and a genuine interest in supporting our students with diverse learning needs. I am privileged to lead a fantastic team of teachers who are passionate and dedicated to ensuring that all their tamariki can experience success in the classroom. I bring to this school 22 years of teaching experience and an innovative, future-focused mindset.
My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
I have a passion to see every student experience success in ways that matter to them personally. With no two learners being the same, I am proud to be a part of a school that is committed to providing a range of opportunities and experiences to its learners. In this place, everyone can belong. In this place, everyone can succeed.
A bit more about me:
Weekends in my house are multi generational and centered around family. Whether it is teaching my teenagers to drive or driving them to sports or youth groups, I am kept on my toes. With four gorgeous grandsons, I also spend my time making contraptions out of lego, watching construction videos on YouTube and playing with duplo. And after all that excitement, I can curl up with one or two of my four cats or just take a nice quiet walk with the dog!
