COVID communication with community : Sunday 20th February 2022

Kia Ora

We have recently had confirmation of a confirmed case of COVID-19  in our community.  The person’s last date of attendance at Papatoetoe Intermediate was Monday 14th February 2022.  The last day a case attended is known as Day ‘0’.

If you have not been contacted by the school or the Ministry of Health, your child can still come to school.  All identified CLOSE contacts of the case have been informed and have already been isolating.

Caregivers of students within the same class as case have been informed via email.

What you need to continue to do:

  • You and your whānau should watch for symptoms

  • If any develop, STAY HOME and go and get tested immediately

  • Then, stay at home until you receive the result

  • Continue to keep the school informed should your child receive a positive test result

  • If your whānau hasn’t been vaccinated, please do so as soon as possible. You can book on-line at bookmyvaccine.nz or by calling 0800 28 29 26. It’s free.

We will continue to keep you updated.
