COVID-19 UPDATE: 20.02.2022

Good evening,

There has been another confirmed COVID-19 case in our community today.

We have completed our contact tracking process for the confirmed cases in our community.  CLOSE contacts have been spoken to and informed of next steps.

Below are the ‘last attended Papatoetoe Intermediate School’ dates of today’s cases:

  • 14th February 2022

  • 15th February 2022

The last date of attendance (exposure) is also known as Day 0.

To our parents and whanau – you will receive an email from us letting you know whether one of these cases is from your child’s room.  This email also includes what this means for your whanau, what you need to do next.

A reminder to our community of what to continue to do:

  • You and your whānau should watch for symptoms

  • If any develop, STAY HOME and go and get tested immediately

  • Then, stay at home until you receive the result

  • Continue to keep the school informed should your child receive a positive test result

  • If your whānau hasn’t been vaccinated, please do so as soon as possible. You can book on-line at bookmyvaccine.nz or by calling 0800 28 29 26. It’s free.

The health and wellbeing of our children, staff and community is our top priority.  We will keep you posted on any new developments.
