A little about me and my time at Papatoetoe Intermediate School:
I am an experienced teacher with 16 years of classroom teaching at a range of schools in NZ and overseas.  I have been at Papatoetoe Intermediate School for 7 years and love working and serving this community.

My vision and hopes for our school/my class:
My vision is that students will obtain the necessary skills to be successful in the physical, mental, and social aspects of their lives.  Students will be able to effectively use the skills acquired to help identify and pursue any learning goals and targets in a practical manner.

I hope that all students will: grow as learners; expand their love of learning; expand their academic knowledge; and gain skills and understand concepts that will bring them lifelong success regardless of academic capabilities or challenges.  I also hope that every student is safe, has a great sense of belonging and enjoys being in my class everyday.

My teaching philosophy is to provide all students with solid education and to create a safe, friendly and positive learning environment for them.  Students will then take ownership of their own learning.

A bit more about me:
I’m Tongan and I love my family.  Things I love doing are fishing, cooking, travelling, reading and watching sports (NRL and NZ Super Rugby).
