Water Skills for Life Workshop

Papatoetoe Intermediate has been funded for 4 hours of Water Skills for Life Workshops per student in 2026. This means that students travel to local pools and learn practical skills around the water. These workshops are run by qualified instructors.

These are not swimming lessons, these are workshops based on how to enjoy the water safely, they involve using lifejackets, rescue and survival techniques, entering and exiting the water in different situations along with other skills and knowledge.

Students do not need any prior experience or swimming skills, the workshops are designed for all levels of ability and confidence.

This is part of our wider EOTC programme and the experiences they have here will set them up for success when they attend the Whole School Camp later in 2026.Please complete the below link/permission slip:
